I've been making a lot of websites lately, mainly because I have yet to find a web designer that meets my needs. A website must of course look appealing to the target audience, but equally be findable on relevant search terms. For example, if you offer Accounting Services in Los Angeles your website should be on page 1 of Google, Yahoo, Live.com and other such search engines for terms related to the products and services you sell. You may not even know all of the various search terms for your industry are, but your website developer or website marketer should.
